UK filings & tax

Last updated: 3 July 2026 · Status page, not tax or legal advice

In plain words

  • Macromuffin watches your UK filing deadlines and prepares the paperwork.
  • Nothing is ever submitted without your explicit confirmation; you are always the one who files.
  • Automated submission is rolling out carefully; here’s exactly where it stands.

What it does today

For UK businesses, Macromuffin monitors upcoming statutory windows (Companies House confirmation statements and accounts deadlines, and Making Tax Digital VAT periods) and gives you a rolling 90-day view of what’s due. When a window approaches, it assembles the filing pack from your business’s current records, validates it against the regulator’s published format, and presents it for your review in plain English.

How submission works

Every regulatory submission is hard-gated: it requires your explicit, manual confirmation, on every filing, regardless of any autonomy settings elsewhere in the product. Where a regulator supports correction filings, the route to fix a mistake is documented alongside the filing itself.

What’s rolling out

Direct electronic submission to Companies House and HMRC (MTD) is in staged rollout. Until it reaches your account, Macromuffin prepares everything and you file through the regulator’s own service with the pack we’ve assembled. If UK filings matter to you, tell us at hello@macromuffin.ai and we’ll keep you posted on rollout.

The important caveat

Macromuffin prepares paperwork; it is not your accountant, tax adviser, or company secretary, and nothing here is tax or legal advice. As a director you remain responsible for your company’s filings, which is exactly why the product never files without you.
